We are hosting an Ice Bucket Challenge benefiting ALS United Rocky Mountain for those with living with ALS in our community. ALS is a difficult and trying journey but your support and love throughout this journey will always stay within our hearts. If you would like to support those braving their ALS journey, please read on and give serious consideration to donating in honor of our ALS HEROS.

WHAT IS ALS?
 
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS is an always-fatal neurodegenerative disease in which a person’s brain loses connection with the muscles. People with ALS lose their ability to walk, talk, eat, and eventually breathe. ALS United Rocky Mountain supports people living with ALS and their loved ones through services and education in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. We leave no stone unturned in our search for the cure for this progressive neurodegenerative disease.

Because there is no known cause or cure for ALS, there is an urgency for more research and financial support. Your donation today will help provide much-needed services, which can be incredibly expensive and hard to obtain.  The estimated out-of-pocket cost for the care of a person living with ALS is over $250,000.
