Welcome to Todd Hoch's tribute page.
Todd's family created this page in honor and in remembrance of him. If you would like to support those braving their ALS journey, please read on and give serious consideration in making a donation in honor of our ALS HERO- our Dad. Donation instructions to follow.
OUR ALS HERO’S STORY
Todd was officially diagnosed on 11-30-22. During the last 6 months, he fought this disease using his strong faith, his humor, generosity and his kind heart. He passed away peacefully on 5-27-23 with family at his side. Todd loved being at the local flea-market, seeking out hidden treasures at garage sales, playing chess, reading the Bible and spending time with his loved ones. Todd was chosen by the ALS Chapter to be represented in the opening ceremony at the Walk to Defeat ALS in Colorado Springs on 5-6-23 at America the Beautiful park. He will be remembered fondly and missed sorely. We love you so much and thank you for being a bright light in this world.
WHAT IS ALS?
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS is a fatal disease in which a person’s brain loses connection with the muscles. People with ALS lose their ability to walk, talk, eat, and eventually breathe.
DONATE
Because there is no known cause or cure for ALS, there is an urgency for more research and financial support. Your donation today will help provide much needed services, which can be incredibly expensive and hard to obtain. The estimated out-of-pocket cost for the care of a person living with ALS is over $250,000. Visit alsaco.org/ to learn more about the different types of donations you can make to the ALS Association Rocky Mountain Chapter. We thank you for your donation in Todd Hoch's name. The ALS Association was a great support and service to us and to everyone facing this difficult journey. Their accomplishments are made possible by the generosity of others.
With much gratitude,
Todd's family
