Welcome to My Personal Page
I met Steve in September 2003. We had a wonderful courtship and I will never forget when he said "Kiss me now or lose me forever." My heart melted. Sadly, I will never forget when the Doctor told us Steve had ALS in April 2006. The Doctor cried with us.
Steve said we needed to live our life to fullest because it was going to a rough road ahead us. Steve was a PRN and cared for Patients that had MS and ALS. He also cared for patients that were paralyzed from being hit by drunk drivers. Please don't drink and drive!
We climbed James Peak 13,294 on June 10 2006. We Summited our first 14er, Mount Bierstadt, on August 5, 2006. We camped, cycled, threw frisbee skydived and climbed his favorite peak, Parkview 12,269 on July 26, 2008.
We got Married on August 1, 2020 aand Steve passed on October 20, 2020 at 6:57pm.
I climbed Parkview to honor Steve's last wishes to let his ashes fly free.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
Thank you for helping me reach my Walk to Defeat ALS fundraising goal! The Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. I want to change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: “You Have ALS."
