ALS is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. I saw this happen to my cousin. She once played tennis, laughed and cared for others.  Within a span of less than two years she became someone who could not walk, talk, eat, and had others care for her. I am skiing for the future families who have that silent voice always going in their mind of will this happen to me?

 I have run and walked for ALS in the past five years, but I only have raised money once through Facebook. Fear of failure prevented me to raise money. I now have a change of mind and heart.

I want to make a difference for those inflicted with this debilitating disease and for the future of family members. I want the silent voice to go away. I want to find a cure for ALS.
