My family, friends and I will again be walking in the ALS United Rocky Mountain walk in Fort Collins, CO on September 28th. As you know, I lost my father in 2001 to this progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Many advances have been made since Dad was sick. Those affected by ALS are living much longer! And there are so many more assistive technologies to aid in every day life. We walk in support of continuing to create more advances, and pray to someday finally find the CURE!
