Thanks for helping me fundraise for ALS Research!
I'm Walking for Brad
This October, I'm doing something I've never done before: I'm fundraising.
I'm walking to raise money for ALS research in memory of my friend Brad, who passed away just a few days ago (21 Sep). Brad was only 48. He was my counselor at the YMCA when I was a kid, and somehow we managed to stay friends for over 30 years, long before smartphones and social media made that easy.
Brad was one of my favorite people on the planet. He loved hip hop, breakdancing, martial arts, and baseball. He was funny, thoughtful, endlessly positive, and had every reason not to be. After he was diagnosed with ALS, he faced it with more grace and optimism than I can really explain.
Two weeks ago, I took my son Miles to meet and visit Brad in LA. I'm so grateful we got to say goodbye.
Brad leaves behind a wonderful wife and a 9-year-old daughter. I'm walking for them, and for everyone still fighting this disease.
My fundraising goal is $2k. If you can donate even a little I would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for helping me honor someone who truly deserves it.
