Welcome to My Personal Page
Hi friends and family,
This year, I am participating in the ALS Walk in Denver, Colorado in honor of my dear friend and colleague, Carl Mahnke. The last big Hyatt event that Carl and I worked on was Kickstart in January 2020, where we talked almost every other day for three months. Out of that experience came one of the best gifts - Carl and I made plans to attend the Packers? home opener at Lambeau Field later that year. We were so excited, but COVID canceled those plans. And now, Carl is facing something far more difficult: ALS.
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of the ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. The average life expectancy after diagnosis is only 2 to 5 years. Right now, there is no cure.
That?s why I?m walking - for Carl, and for everyone living with this disease. Walk ALS raises funds to support families impacted by ALS, expand access to care, and accelerate research. Recent years have brought real progress, but we can?t stop now. The key to a cure begins with us.
Please consider donating to my walk. Every step and every dollar matters - and together, we can bring hope and change the future for those living with ALS.
With gratitude,
Kelly
